About

After spending too many years floating around, wasting around, I have finally decided to do something about the middle-class guilt that I’ve always felt in my stomach. So back to school I go. To a Diploma of Sustainability at Swinburne Uni.

As much as I love the career I have forged for myself in cheese, I know deep down inside that I have to be doing more to help people and the planet. I think I’ve always known this, but have been to scared to confront it – it’s too big, too indefinable. So, signing up to this course is signing up to confront it…to see how I can do my own little bit to help. I’m not sure where it will end up taking me, but I’m keen to explore it further…

I’ve only been to two lessons so far, but our tutor Richard is very good, and I’m nervous, but enthusiastic and excited to be attempting the assessments…

I’ve decided to setup a Twitter account and to write a blog, both to help me to learn and to find out what is going on out there, and to try and get people interested and maybe, just maybe to encourage some behaviour change.
